The Chalet rental house is gorgeous setting. From almost every room, there is a beautiful view of trees and water that fill each window. Like living in the trees with the eagles, anyone could come to this property and walk away feeling relaxed and reinvigorated. This is a multi-story rental home with a fantastic loft. I was impressed with the quality of furniture and the general amenities around the property. I was not on property for long. But I was their long enough to shoot a game of pool on the pool table, “inspect” the very well maintained hot tub (which can hold 8 by the way). There is virtually no chance that a family or a group of friends staying at this property would not think this is one of the best rental houses they have ever seen.

The owner has clearly positioned this million dollar plus property to be the showcase and benchmark of sure luxury anywhere on Whidbey Island. This vacation property features a very upscale interior with expensive antiques, designer furniture, pool table. Surround sound systems and a lot more. One item to note about this property is the large grounds on which this vacation property sits. I would not be inconceivable to have a wedding of 400-500 individuals at this property. The grass area grounds are more than an acre in size.

The Villa was in the middle of being remodeled while we made our last visit to Whidbey Island. Using the term remodeled is a bit understated. This home was stripped down to its struts, re-insulated, drywall, new wood floors, everything new. This is a seven bedroom four story home all facing Holms Harbor. From what we were able to tell at the time, this home was going to be spectacular. While we were their, two very large plasma flat screen just arrived, the crew was finishing up on two of the four floors and the two full wrap around decks were being installed. We also liked the location of the property. It was just adjacent to the Golf Course restaurant and Country Club in which you would clearly walk to (about 100 feet away). We are told from the owner of this rental home it is quite popular in the summer months. In fact, you will need to book way in advance to rent this home out in season. This is a seven bedroom home situated on a small bluff overlooking Holms Harbor. There is a private stairway leading down to a small rock beach where you can dig for clams. The property from what we could tell sits on about an acre of land. The rental home has 6-7 bedrooms depending on how they are used. The kitchen is fully stocked with professional cooking supplies and there is a fabulous finished lower level with pool table. Big screen television, tons of children’s books and toys.

The first think I noticed about the Beachcomber rental property was how private this property was. Access to the house is available from a long private road. The rental property sits right at the end positioned at a point in which Holms Harbor bends. This creates more than 180 degrees of ocean front living. If you want pure uninterrupted privacy for a small family a single coupe or two couples, this is your destination.

Once you enter the front door, your eyes immediately fill with the color blue from the water coming in from virtually every window you first see. The second thing you will notice almost immediately is that you are not in a normal or traditional rental property. From the slate kitchen, high polished wooden ceiling, custom artwork, French doors, the owner has gone way out of his way to ensure his guests are living in pure luxury. I felt an immediate sense of relaxation in this rental property. This is not a large property but that is not what this rental property is about. This is clearly one of the most romantic rental property destinations I have seen. The master bedroom overlooks Holms harbor from all windows. There is a large old-style bath tub in where you can open the French doors to the bathroom and be steps away from the water on the beach.

The back deck on this rental property has been meticulously maintained. It includes a well maintained hot tub ready for any and all guests to enjoy. You will give the sense that you are virtually right on the water in this hot tub. Unlike most rental property, this one has a high definition television with satellite service over the river rock fire place. We found the attention to detail in the walls, in the floors and in the ceiling and around the property.

This rental property came with a full line of kitchen cooking supplies which I have not seen in a rental property before. We found everything we needed to even cook up the clams we found digging on the beach. When we wanted to Barbeque, there was a state of the art barbeque just outside the back door for our convenience. When it was time for bed, I was truly taken aback by the quality of mattresses found on these beds. This is not a hotel mattress or one you would find in most rental properties. Both beds in this rental property we extraordinarily comfortable and made for a better night sleep that I typically get at home. We cracked open the French bedroom door so we could hear the seagulls and water gently splashing up near the door all night.

We were visited by staff twice while we were their offering to run to the market for us or make any adjustments necessary for our stay. We thought this was an additional touch of class that you normally would not find in a rental property.

We recommend this property as a great three day to seven day romantic getaway from greater Seattle. I would find it hard to believe that anyone would find this rental property disappointing.
